چکیده
Objectives To examine the interactions between SARS-CoV-2 positive players and other during rugby league matches determine within-match transmission risk. Methods Four Super League in which were subsequently found to have participated analysed. Players identified as increased-risk contacts, player proximities analysed by video footage global positioning system (GPS) data. The primary outcome was new cases of within 14 days match contacts participating matches. Results Out 136 total players, there 8 28 100 Increased-risk involved 11.4±9.0 (maximum 32) 4.0±5.2 23) tackles, respectively. From GPS data, 2 m on 10.4±18.0 88) 12.5±20.7 121) occasions, totalling 65.7±137.7 689) 89.5±169.4 1003) s, Within match, one contact five returned reverse transcriptase PCR (RT-PCR) tests, 27 95 participants negative RT-PCR tests. Positive most likely traced social interactions, car sharing wider community not linked in-match transmission. Conclusion Despite tackle involvements close proximity with confirmed. While larger datasets are needed, these findings suggest presents a lower risk viral than previously predicted.
